If you like to have a beer every now and then, keep your cash at home if you set out to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your purse, your wallet, and keep all cash, plastic credit and cheques out of the casino. Pack whatever money you expect to spend on drinks, tipping and few dollars you expect to lose and leave the rest behind.
Pessimistic? Absolutely not. Just realistic. You could have a win following a drunken evening out with your buddies and be lucky enough to hit a marathon toss at a smokin craps table. Hang on to that story considering that it is as brief as it gets if you consistently consume alcohol and gamble. The two just don’t mix.
Leaving your money back at the hotel might be a little dramatic, but precautionary actions for drastic behavior is a requirement. If you wager to profit, then don’t consume alcohol and gamble. If you can afford to be wasteful with your assets without a concern, then drink all the gratis booze your stomach can handle, but do not take credit cards and chequebooks to throw into the mix of chasing losses after your drunken self loses everything!
Permit me to carry this a single step more. Don’t drink alcohol and then jump on to the internet to wager in your favorite casino either. I enjoy a beer from the coziness of my house, however considering that I’m hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit in close proximity, I can not drink alcohol and bet.
How come? Despite the fact that I do not drink a lot, when I drink, it is certainly adequate to blur my common sense. I gamble, so I do not drink when betting. If you are more of a drinker, don’t bet at the same time. Both create a dangerous, and costly, drink.
